Environmental innovators & business professionals committed to renewable energy and sustainability...
"It takes a mix of soul and science." - Quincy Jones, music producer, activist and co-writer of the iconic 1985 philanthropic anthem, "We Are The World"
My interests and involvement in ecology started in 1989, when I was involved in the Earth Day March in New York City. Several years later, I helped create "Sustainable Dobbs Ferry," a village movement that pioneered several meaningful accomplishments.
One of my clients, Kohl Construction, erected the first geothermal building in Westchester County, and continues to make environmentally sound decisions. I have since worked with professionals on entrepreneurial endeavors and career transitions in energy conservation (demand response), wind energy(from 3Tier), water protection (Riverkeeper) and clean tech finance (Morgan Stanley Smith Barney). Watch this space as clients share their comments.
I coined the phrase "Sustainable Confidence" and I speak and blog on the subject. Meanwhile, my innovative, entrepreneurial and executive clients use me as a reliable, confidential sounding board to talk through challenges, clarify goals, and stay motivated, confident and focused on a winning game plan.
Together we're creating a brighter future.
Richard Krauze - Renewable Energy Advisor / past Director of N. American Business Development at 3TIER "Jonathan is very insightful, thoughtful and passionate about his work. I met Jonathan through a friend and instantly found him very engaging and a great listener. He asks the right questions in order to understand the issues quickly and then uses the insights he gains to formulate sensible advice and thought-provoking questions.” Top qualities: Great Results, Expert, Creative - December 1, 2009
Nina Orville - Chair at Mayor's Task Force on Energy and the Environment (Dobbs Ferry) "During our first session I was amazed by Jonathan's ability to distill my discussion of career trajectory and passions into a pithy and accurate description of a career objective. Jonathan's focus on marketing, and marketing oneself, also helped me to reframe and sharpen my presentation of my professional abilities. I found my experience working with him to be of great value.” Top qualities: Great Results, Expert, Creative..September 25, 2009
Katarina Duplessy - VP, Chief Operating Officer, Riverkeeper "I have had two coaches before, [who] were not helping me to address the issue differently than I would’ve done already. The couple of sessions that I had [with Jonathan] left me relieved, focused and with an understanding of what I can and cannot control. It was professional but warm and engaging with a personal touch. I really am very, very pleased with the experience. I highly recommend you and your services to anybody out there who like me [was] very busy and stressed out. Thank you!”
On an important note: Dan Miller, co-founder of the Roda Group, presented "A REALLY INCONVENIENT TRUTH" at the Cornell Entrepreneur Network in New York City. It became clearer than ever that this issue requires urgent action, and that there is hope for innovative solutions. I am dedicating my life's work to a sustainable, vibrant planet, and therefore offer of partial coaching scholarships to those who need it. Feel free to ask about this.
